Household FM Aerials

To get the best possible radio reception you need the right equipment and this means having an appropriate aerial and aerial cable. If you are an avid listener of FM then you'll benefit from a permanent FM aerial.

You should look for a directional aerial with two or more rods (sometimes known as a yagi aerial) that covers the whole of the FM band (87.5 MHz - 108 MHz). You could also use a circular FM aerial but they do allow for more distortion but have the advantage of recieving stations from different directions. Both should be used with a good quality low loss coaxial cable.
